Staff Sergeant Nicholas Ciardelli is a trumpet player with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA.  Originally from Beach Haven, NJ his Air Force career began in 2011.

Sgt. Nicholas Ciardelli is a 2009 graduate of The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA where he earned a Bachelor in Trumpet Performance.  In 2015, he received a Masters degree from West Chester University, West Chester, PA.  His teachers include Matt Gallagher and George Rabbai at University of the Arts, and Jean-Christophe Dobrzelewski at West Chester University.  Prior to joining the Air Force, Sgt. Ciardelli has performed with: Aretha Franklin, Joe Piscapo, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Harry James Orchestra, The Artie Shaw Orchestra and Ringling Brothers Circus.   Sgt. Ciardelli has performed at the 2009 and 2010 Montreal Jazz Festival, as well as performing as lead trumpet with the Philadelphia Orchestra for their 2010 and 2011 Summer Concert Series.  Since moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, Sgt. Ciardelli has performed with groups such as: The Tommy Igoe Big Band, The Pacific Mambo Orchestra,

Sgt. Ciardelli's career highlights have been: performing alongside of The San Francisco Symphony and performing at the 2012 and 2014 Monterey Jazz Festivals.  Currently, Sgt. Ciardelli is the unit's Audition Coordinator as well as the Operations Representative for the Ceremonial Band.
