Check out what our guys are doing in Australia! Great job!
The Band of the Pacific is in Australia for a series of concerts celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Hamel, which is significant because it was the first time that American forces were under the operational command of a non-American, in this case, an Australian commander. This combined force highlighted the importance of accomplishing international stability through our allied relationships, a tradition that we continue today, through these combined concerts.
had the honor and privilege of performing at the Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School for hundreds of music students! Thanks for having us and for posting!
The USAF Band of the Pacific had the pleasure of performing today at the Nepean Creative and Performing Arts High School for an audience of about 400 music students. Joining us on stage were members from the Royal Australian Air Force Band. Performing at high schools around the Pacific region is an integral part of the Band of the Pacific's mission. Reaching out to the future leaders of Australia and messaging about the importance of international relations is one sure way to cement the prosperity of the United States and Australia's future relationship. Our service does a lot more than fly airplanes, and our airmen aren't just pilots. Here's a short video that explains what we're all about.
Pacific Brass's performance at The Miyazaki Memorial Ceremony was one of the highlights of their recent trip. Check out the video for more!

In February of 2018, Hana Hou, from the Band of the Pacific-Hawaii, toured to Singapore. They partnered with the U.S. Embassy Singapore to set up performances at schools and concert venues around the country. Most notable was their performance at the 2018 Singapore Airshow honoring the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Hana Hou invited members of the Singaporean Armed Forces band to play with them, reflecting the bond between our countries. ---------------------------------- Air Force Band, USAF Heritage of America Band, USAF Band of the Golden West, USAF Band of the West, The United States Air Force Band, United States Air Force Bands, USAF Heartland of America Band, USAF Band of Flight, United States Air Force Academy Band, Singapore Armed Forces, Singapore, Singapore, U.S. Pacific Air Forces, Command Chief Master Sergeant of Pacific Air Forces, 15th Wing, U.S. Pacific Command
On March 9, 2018, Chief Master Sergeant Steven Fitts retired after 27 years of selfless service. At his ceremony, Iki Ohana, our protocol trio, performed a variety of music styles and SrA Derek Wilson sang the National Anthem. Also in attendance, the Hickam AFB Honor Guard honored Chief Fitts with the traditional flag folding ceremony. Aim high Chief Fitts, thank you for your service.

Check out Papana, our Jazz ensemble, performing on AtAmerica in Indonesia on February 26, 2018 for an audience of local students. One of our mission focuses is #connecting with the American public and vital regional partners, leveraging the power of music to strengthen bonds and create positive, lasting impressions of the US and the United States Air Force. Music starts at the 8:30 mark
Papana, our jazz ensemble, recently returned from their tour to Jakarta, Indonesia. We had the opportunity to connect with students from Bogor Fisheries University, Universitas Islam 45 in Bekasi and Pondok Pesantren As-Sa'adah in Serang. Through our performances we were able to provide students with a positive impression of the US military. Along with the inspiring school performances, Papana had the privilege to perform at the prestigious Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival and on an AtAmerica broadcast. The US Air Force is committed to promoting regional security and stability and supporting our allies and partners throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
Pacific Brass had a blast performing for students at Murayama Izumi Kindergarten in Musashimurayama, Tokyo. The band uses the power of #music to transcend language barriers and connect with members of the local community. The town of Musashimurayama is one of several communities near Yokota Air Base, and events like these are a great way to spend time with these wonderful neighbors.
Lt Col Moore Urrutia led a dozen members of the band in a joint appearance with with our good friends and partners, the Koku Jieitai (Japanese Air Self Defense Force) Central Band. AFN Tokyo captured our rehearsals in preparation for last week's concert at Sumida Triphony Hall in downtown Tokyo.
