The Concert Band represents the professionalism and excellence found every day throughout the Air Force. This diverse, 45-piece ensemble’s repertoire ranges from symphonic band masterworks, to traditional marches, to modern compositions, to pops and jazz. During a concert, you are likely to hear stirring works from contemporary composers as well as the familiar sounds of John Philip Sousa or Major Glenn Miller. The band also features talented vocal and instrumental soloists, performing a wide variety of popular, classical, and patriotic selections.

The Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble is a group of professional enlisted musicians whose repertoire ranges from traditional big band jazz, to bebop and swing, to modern jazz. At one of their concerts you are just as likely to hear the music of contemporary composers as you would the classic sounds of Count Basie or Glenn Miller. Several of the band's members are also gifted composers and arrangers, and their compositions are often featured in concert.

Roots in Blue is one of two popular music groups within the USAF Band of Mid-America. This seven piece popular music group features guitar, bass, drums, piano and vocalists, and is sure to impress audiences of all ages. Located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, this ensemble is committed to honoring our veterans and active duty members, communicating esprit de corps, motivation and inspiration, and rendering honor to our Airmen and country across a 10-state region in the Midwest and Southern United States.

Starlifter is an electrifying, high energy rock band of Active Duty Airmen. This dynamic group stationed with the Band of Mid-America features the traditional rock band instruments of piano, guitar, bass, drums and vocals with special appearances by our diverse saxophone and trumpet players. The Starlifter experience will leave you wanting more and guessing what they will play next as your hear your favorite rock, pop and country tunes from the last 40 years in a fresh new way.

Airlifter Brass is the Brass Quintet of the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America. With the traditional instrumentation of two trumpets, French horn, trombone and tuba plus percussion, the ensemble is known for its versatility and outstanding musicianship. A component group of the Band of Mid-America, their performance repertoire spans five centuries, from the glorious antiphonal sounds of the Renaissance to the rich diversity of American musical styles.

Midwest Winds is a dynamic chamber ensemble that serves as an ambassador of the US Air Force Band of Mid-America. The musical reach of this ensemble is wide, existing primarily as a conventional wind quintet (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn), but can easily transform into various chamber music configurations. The core members consist of five active-duty airmen who have an abundance of professional experience and strong pedagogical backgrounds.

The Liberty Clarinet Quartet is committed to honoring and inspiring our military and civilian audiences by presenting a wide range of musical literature, from traditional classical repertoire to marches and light pop. This group traditionally consists of three (3) B-flat clarinets and one (1) bass clarinet.
