Top Flight

Top Flight is the USAF Band of the West’s response to America’s demand for classic rock ‘n’ roll, R&B, country, and current pop music heard on top 40’s radio stations. Like other ensembles within the USAF Band of the West, Top Flight performs in support of official military gatherings, Air Force recruiting, and community relations events. They provide a variety of music for dances, dinner shows, and receptions. They are also able to reach thousands of school children each year with an important, socially relevant “Stay in School” and “Say No to Drugs” message.

Top Flight travels over 30,000 miles annually performing throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Top Flight answers the nation’s call as the USAF Band of the West’s “Go To” ensemble for deployments to Southwest Asia in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Since 2006, Top Flight has deployed four times, boosting the morale of over 31,000 Joint U.S. and Coalition warriors.
