Master sergeant Jeremiah True


Master Sergeant Jeremiah True serves as a saxophonist for the Band of the Pacific as of June 2018.

Originally hailing from Corinth, KY, MSgt True graduated from Grant County High School in 1995 and continued his studies at Morehead State University, Kentucky, where he received his Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2000. His teachers include Eugene Norden, Gordon Towell, Michael Acord, Robert Pritchard, Jason Worzbyt, John Richardson, Tom Walsh, Otis Murphy, Rebecca Andres, Eugene Marquis, Chris Vadala, Hal Crook, and Matthew Krejci. While in college, Sergeant True performed with the Kentucky Intercollegiate Jazz Ensemble, the Kentucky Intercollegiate Concert Band, studied chamber music in Salzburg, Austria, through the Kentucky Institute for International Studies, and performed in the People's Republic of China with the Morehead State Symphony Band. Sergeant True's professional credits include performances with Princess Cruises, Jenny Wiley Theatre, Rockwell Productions, Media Theatre, Dayton Opera, The Dayton Loft Theatre, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dayton Jazz Orchestra, Phil Woods, the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Greg Abate, Bobby Watson, The Jive Rockets Jump Blues Band, and This Side Up. MSgt True also performed with numerous rock, pop, jazz, and gospel groups across the United States.  He has also appeared on the original recordings of Rockwell Productions' "Rosemarie," Jenny Wiley Theatre association's "The Legend of Jenny Wiley," as well as with the Dayton Jazz Orchestra's "Just Playin' Around."

During his AF career, Sergeant True has performed with Ken Peplowski, Allen Vizutti, Bobby Shew, Tom "Bones" Malone, The Miracles, Eddie Daniels, Phyllis Diller, Brian Lynch, Donnie McCaslin, John Fedchock, John Riley, The Cleveland Pops Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers, and Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame inductees Chicago.
