Senior Airman Michael Horrigan

Senior Airman Michael Horrigan, from Grand Rapids, MI, is a bassist with the USAF Band of Mid-America at Scott Air Force Base. He performs with the Shades of Blue Jazz ensemble and Concert Band. In addition to his musical duties, Airman Horrigan works as Vehicle Control Officer and Operations Clerk.

 

Airman Horrigan entered the Air Force in August 2018. Prior to joining, he performed extensively throughout the mid-west both as a band leader and sideman in a variety of ensembles. He attended Western Michigan University to complete a performance degree with a focus in Jazz Studies. He spent time studying and performing with many jazz greats including Tom Kinific, Dr. Scott Cowan, Mathew Fries, Dr. Andrew Rathbun, Ed Simon and more.
