Chief Master Sergeant Jason Foster

Chief Master Sergeant Jason P. Foster is the Senior Enlisted Leader for the United States Air Force (USAF) Heritage of America Band, Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC), Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. As the principal advisor to the Commander, he provides functional oversight for all administrative and musical functions by directing personnel, resources, training and readiness to support the mission, vision and priorities of the organization. Composed of sixty-one members, five sections and nine performance teams, the unit executes over 350 missions annually in support of Department of Defense, USAF and ACC strategic communication, influence and engagement initiatives including Presidential support, civic outreach, international partnership building, recruiting and troop support across a 15-state region and at forward deployed locations around the world.
 
Chief Master Sergeant Foster was born in Fort Worth, Texas and enlisted into the United States Army in June of 2000. After completing Basic and Advanced Military Training, he was stationed at Fort Monroe, Virginia where he served as a Trombonist and Publicity Clerk for the Unites States Continental Army Band. In 2004, he enlisted in the USAF and was stationed at Langley Air Force Base (AFB), Virginia where he served as Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of Heritage Brass. Throughout his career, he has served in various leadership roles including Superintendent, Additional Duty First Sergeant, Section Chief of Resources, Executive Noncommissioned Officer, Unit Deployment Manager, Organizational Defense Travel Administrator, Agency Program Coordinator and Chief of Records.
 
Chief Master Sergeant Foster has also served in a variety of deployed leadership roles. In 2010, he served as the Advon for the ensemble "Vector" where he helped support the morale of U.S. and coalition troops and promoted diplomacy and outreach to nine host nation communities. In 2014, he served as the Director of Operations for the U.S. Air Forces Central (USAFCENT) Band. While there, he led four teams to leverage the power of music to bolster the morale of U.S. and coalition troops and strengthen partnerships throughout 12 countries in Southwest Asia. In 2019, he was the Superintendent of Immigrations and the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing’s (AEW) Host Nation Coordination Cell where he led 41 military and contract members across nine executive functions directly supporting counter Iranian deterrence for Operations INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and SPARTAN SHIELD.
