The Pacific Air Force brass quintet stopped by the Songtan shopping district to perform for members of the local community.
In schools across the Detroit area, smiling fans reached out, arms raised, to get closer to an Air Force band as they played a selection of fan favorites from throughout the years. The Band of Mid-America’s rock band, Starlifter, arrived with music in their hearts, in mid-March when they took to Detroit as part of their “Music in our Schools” initiative in hopes of inspiring a future generation of Airmen.
Air Force Tech. Sgt. Nalani Quintello dropped out of “American Idol” to join the U.S. Air Force Band as the lead singer of the rock band Max Impact. Since then, she’s been honoring veterans, inspiring patriotism and breaking the ice across the world. Video by Jon Poindexter, DOD
