Senior Airman Henry Gergen is a trumpet player for the United States Air Force Band of the Pacific-Asia. In addition to his musical duties, Gergen works in the unit’s computer shop, and serves as the passport manager and alternate unit safety representative.
SrA Gergen joined the United States Air Force in October 2021. Prior to enlisting, he received his Bachelor of Music in Trumpet performance from Lawrence University and his Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. His trumpet teachers were John Daniel, Paul Stephens, Tanya Darby, and Mike Steinel. Before enlisting in the United States Air Force, SrA Gergen performed with various bands in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area, and in the showbands of eight Royal Caribbean cruise ships.
Airman Gergen’s Air Force career highlights include Performing on the Price is Right with the ceremonial band from the US Air Force Band of the Golden West and performing in a brass quintet from the Band of the Golden West at a ceremony for Buzz Aldrin’s honorary promotion to Brigadier General.
