Composed by Scott-Textor Arranged by SMSgt Tom Dossett

Central to the United States Air Force being the world's most respected air power is the quality and professionalism of the people who make up this arm of America's defense. That is why, from its very inception, the Air Force has insisted on recruiting and retaining only the best and brightest for both its enlisted and officer corps.

Composed as part of this ongoing effort, The U.S. Air Force Blue was written as a recruiting song in the late 1950's. Its popularity was such that it literally saturated the country. In fact, soon after appearing, it became part of an effort to replace "The U.S. Air Force Song" as the official service song. Though unsuccessful, the popularity of the song remains and it is performed regularly by various units of The U.S. Air Force Band.

The words, music and this arrangement of U.S. Air Force Blue have been purchased outright by the United States Air Force and are in the public domain.
