It was a that was concert three years in the making.

The band of the Northeast's concert band ensemble held a holiday concert at Upper Dauphin Middle School in Lykens, Pa. on Saturday, December 2, 2017.

Although, inclement weather had forced the holiday concert to be cancelled each of the past two years, this year's performance went off without a hitch.

The concert included holiday favorites such as the Nutcracker Suite, Greensleeves and Salvation is Created.

Staff Sergeant Amy Chicavich wowed the crowd with stirring vocal renditions of My Grown-Up Christmas Wish and I'll be Home for Christmas.

The concert concluded with the band being joined by around 20 members of the Upper Dauphin Middle and High School band for a holiday sing-a-long, which included classics such as Silver Bells, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

The 38-member unit is comprised of several performance ensembles including the concert band, ceremonial band and four small ensembles.
