Thank you for visiting the Band of the South! We are a traditional National Guard unit, which means that we meet for one weekend a month and two weeks a year, typically in the summer. Our primary function is to be ambassadors for the Air Force and to bring the message of the Air Force to the public.

Many times, people don't have a lot of opportunity to meet and talk with members of the military. So it's our job to go out into the public, share about the military, especially the Air Force, and let the public know what the military is accomplishing right here at home and all around the world. We love having the opportunity to meet you, talk with you, and hear the stories you have to share about your own ties to our military.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to visit communities within our region. We are thankful for the men and women who have served our country and sacrificed so much so that we have the freedoms we enjoy regularly. Thank you for your continued support!
