The Ceremonial Marching Band is probably the most visible of all the units in the USAF Band of the West. It can be seen at military ceremonies, parades, conventions, professional sports arenas, and other events all over the Southwest. Their crisp military precision and musicality promote the Air Force's image of professionalism and dedication.  Every U.S. President since John F. Kennedy has seen this group, along with Queen Elizabeth II of England and numerous other dignitaries. The Ceremonial Marching Band is a permanent fixture at both the Fiesta Flambeau and the Battle of the Flowers parades at Fiesta in San Antonio.

The primary duty of this unit is to support military functions at bases in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.  Troops returning from Desert Shield/Desert Storm through San Antonio saw the band as it welcomed them home with stirring marches and patriotic music. The Ceremonial Marching Band has certainly done its part to help the USAF Band of the West earn its reputation as one of the finest military bands in America.
