Max Impact is the official rock/pop music ensemble of the United States Air Force. Stationed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., it is one of six musical ensembles that form The U.S. Air Force Band. Featuring six active-duty musicians, Max Impact regularly presents high-intensity performances throughout the nation and abroad. The ensemble supports events at the White House, State Department, Department of Defense, and numerous other high-level military and civilian functions to advance international diplomacy with America’s allies and strategic partners.
In addition to entertaining military and civilian audiences in the United States, Max Impact thrills service members with its trademark hard-rocking musical versatility at forward-deployed locations. These performances are a much-needed "taste of home" that bolster troop morale and esprit de corps for military members stationed worldwide. Additionally, the band supports the Air Force and its local communities by creating innovative projects and performances which capitalize on the latest in multimedia music production. At home or abroad, their high-energy performances assist in enhancing troop morale, building partnerships with local, national, and international communities, increasing recruiting and retention efforts, and inspiring patriotism through the power of music.
As part of The U.S. Air Force Band, Max Impact’s mission is to HONOR those who have served, INSPIRE American citizens to heightened patriotism and service, and CONNECT with the global community on behalf of the U.S. Air Force and the United States. The excellence demonstrated by Max Impact reflects the excellence displayed by all Airmen stationed worldwide, whose selfless service and sacrifices ensure the freedoms enjoyed by citizens of the United States of America.
