The United States Air Force Band of the Pacific-Hawaii is located on the island of Oahu at historic Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (home to the United States Indo-Pacific Command and Pacific Air Forces) and is one of the premier musical units in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Air Forces area of responsibility is one of the largest of any of the United States Major Commands, extending from the west coast of the United States to the east coast of Asia and from the Arctic to Antarctica, and is home to approximately 2 billion people living in 44 countries.
The musical groups that comprise the USAF Band of the Pacific-Hawaii perform throughout this large and diverse area of responsiblity, and have performed in such locations as Singapore, Australia, Wake Island, Papua New Guinea, American Samoa, Beijing, New Zealand, Guam, and the Kwajalein Atoll. These Airman Musicians perform in a wide array of settings, from concert halls to street festivals, and from schools to air shows, and are always eager to connect with the diverse audiences that call the Indo-Pacific home. These groups have also performed for such dignitaries as Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump; Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann; and the Secretaries of Defense and Secretaries of the Air Force.
Through the power and energy of music, the Band of the Pacific's impressive performances create engaging moments that serve as a demonstration of the excellence displayed by the 46,000 Airmen serving, stationed and deployed, throughout the Indo-Pacific.
