Senior Master Sergeant W. David Hartung serves as the Superintendent for the Band of the Pacific as of June, 2019. Originally hailing from Frankfort, Ky, SMSgt Hartung hold a Bachelors of Music from The University of Kentucky. He went on to obtain his Masters degree from Webster University. In addition to his academic pursuits, SMSgt Hartung has performed with the Radio Orchestra Kaiserslautern (Germany), German Brass, Louisville Orchestra, the New Sousa Band, Saint Louis Philharmonic and currently leads the acclaimed Arch City Brass. His teachers include Sam Pilafian, Patrick Sheridan, Earle Louder, Mark Moore, Jerry Young and Skip Gray.
