Technical Sergeant Jarrett E. Robinett performs on percussion with Offutt Brass, an ensemble of the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. In addition to his musical duties, he serves in the Operations and Supply sections. Sergeant Robinett previously performed on drums in The Noteables jazz ensemble, and on percussion in the Heartland of America Band concert and ceremonial bands. As an Air Force bandsman, he has performed for U.S. Presidents and Vice Presidents, Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Services, foreign dignitaries and military leaders, national broadcast audiences on both television and radio, and live audiences across the nation.

Prior to being assigned at Offutt Air Force Base, Sergeant Robinett was a member of the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America at Scott Air Force Base from October 2001 to September 2011, performing with nearly every ensemble. In addition to playing drums and percussion, he became certified as an Audio Engineer in the Air Force Band and Music Program. Sergeant Robinett acted as the Audio Engineer for the music group Hot Brass while continuing to perform on drums with the concert band and ceremonial band. Sergeant Robinett instructed several area school marching drum lines around the St. Louis area in his off-duty time. He also taught for nationally competitive indoor marching percussion groups. His student ensembles scored in the top tier of the St. Louis Area marching contests and regional competitions.


Prior to enlisting in the Air Force, Sergeant Robinett was the Director of Bands for Corning Public Schools in Corning, Ark. He taught as a percussion faculty member at several summer music camps across the Southeast United States from 1995-2000. He also worked as a versatile musician in Arkansas, serving as the Timpanist for the Northeast Arkansas Symphony, Principal Percussionist for the Pine Bluff Symphony and as a section percussionist with both the Fort Smith and Conway Symphony Orchestras. While a freelance percussionist, Robinett appeared in concert with Tom Burritt in Piteå, Sweden, as a special guest on the 2001 Chautauqua Summer Chamber Music Festival, and with music legend Ray Charles.

Sergeant Robinett currently maintains professional membership in the Percussive Arts Society and is an alumni member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity.
