Senior Master Sgt. Brian Mann is a percussionist with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Sergeant Mann joined the Air Force in 2001 as a percussionist with the Heartland of America Band, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, where he performed with the Ceremonial Band, Concert Band and the Noteables Jazz Ensemble. Originally from Waseca, Minnesota, he joined The U.S. Air Force Band in 2003. A 2001 graduate of The University of South Dakota, Mann earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree. During his collegiate studies, he was an MTNA National Finalist, a University of South Dakota Concerto competition winner, and MENC president. He has studied with Dr. Sarah Smith-Waters. Mann has appeared with the Sioux City Symphony and the Sioux City Municipal Band, and is a member of the Music Educators National Conference and the Percussive Arts Society.
