Make-A-Wish comes to Bolling

Tech. Sgt. Joe Haughton shares music tips with children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation on Bolling March 20. Children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation were invited to Bolling for the day to learn about the Air Force and the 11th Wing. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has been granting wishes to children with progressive, degenerative or malignant conditions since 1980 and has reached more than 167,000 children around the world.(U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Sean Adams)

On March 20, 2009, the Band was proud to host children and their parents from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The children were given a tour of Bolling Air Force Base that culminated in a luncheon concert presented by chamber groups from the various units of the Band. In this photo, Technical Sgt. Joe Haughton shares music tips with the children. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has been enriching the lives of children with threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. It was with great pride that the men and women of the United States Air Force Band could spend some time with these amazing children!
