This November, fresh off the heels of the 2010 Jazz Heritage Series, the Airmen of Note will embark on a 15-day tour through the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania. Created in 1950 to carry on the tradition of Major Glenn Miller's Army Air Corps dance band, today the “Note” features 18 of the most talented jazz musicians in the country and is one of the last touring big bands. The tour will take place November 9 through November 23. (U.S. Air Force photo by SMSgt Robert Mesite)
