Congratulations are due to the newest full bird Colonel in the United States Air Force Band career field. Colonel Larry H. Lang was promoted in a ceremony on 3 Oct 2011 at Arnold Hall at the United States Air Force Academy. Present at the ceremony were former Academy Band and Air Force band commanders, local dignitaries, current and former members of the USAF Academy Band, and friends and family from around the country. Col Lang is only the ninth Colonel in Air Force Band history.
