22 June 2014 - A beautiful summer evening in Mountville, PA was made even more memorable by the sweet sounds of a variety of concert and rock band music, provided by the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast. The concert in Mountville, which is a favorite stop for the members of the band, was attended by approximately 500 grateful citizens of the local area.

The corner of College Avenue and Clay Street in Mountville was closed to all vehicular traffic, and the band played on the lawn of the Mountville Church of the Brethren as audiences members sat across from and on either side of the 42 member band. Rousing concert favorites such as Sousa's "Nobles of the Mystic Shrine", Bernstein's "Overture to Candide", and Leeman's "March of the Belgian Paratroopers" entertained audience members of all ages. The highlight of the evening was the salute to current and former service members as the Band of the Northeast performed the "Armed Services Medley".

High Altitude, the rock band component of the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast performed favorites by Bruno Mars, Stevie Wonder, and ZZ Top. The Air National Guard Band of the Northeast kicked off their 2014 summer tour with this performance and will spend the next 15 days performing for military and civilian audiences through Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
