Air National Guard Band of the Northeast Demonstrates Versatility to Adapt to Changing Weather

A beautiful summer evening, with a concert scheduled for the residents of Sterling, MA in the town's community park and broadcast on their public access channel was the plan for the members of the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast on July 2, 2014. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate but the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast still was able to entertain the crowd due in part to their versatility and reaction to uncontrollable situations.

While the original plans for the evening included performances by the entire concert band and rock band, the impending weather instead required Captain Joseph Denti, unit Commander and Conductor, to instead ask Brass in Blue to step in and complete the mission. Despite the short notice of their inclusion in the program, the airmen of Brass in Blue stepped up and provided those in attendance a great concert including a medley from Pixar's " The Incredibles", "The Air Force Hymn", a George M. Cohen medley, and "The DOD Armed Services Medley".

The concert was ultimately cut short by lightening in the area, but the group put on an entertaining show none the less.
