The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Washington, D.C. --  The results of the latest promotion board for The U. S. Air Force Band are in, and we are proud to announce that 9 Band members have been selected to be promoted.

On Aug. 1, 2014, being promoted to the rank of chief master sergeant:

Through their devotion to duty and the demonstration of exquisite technical skills, these Airmen musicians have attained and displayed the skills and leadership necessary to assume higher levels of responsibility.
