A holiday gift from the Singing Sergeants

As Andy Williams once famously sang, it's the Holiday Season (the Holiday Season), and in historic Hangar 2 we are definitely into whoop-de-do, dickory dock and not forgetting to hang up our collective sock. So, in that spirit, we're going to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas in eclectic vocal style this year with members of the Singing Sergeants featured in myriad holiday songs! (Yes, we know that the 12 Days of Christmas actually start on Dec. 25 and end on Jan. 5. Consider it an early present!)

Starting on Dec. 14, The United States Air Force Band's Facebook page will daily post a new video featuring the Singing Sergeants. Each could be the whole group, small groups or even quartets and duets; and, they will feature all kinds of different Christmas, Hanukkah and holiday music. A new video will be "released" each day for 12 days, with the final release on Christmas Day. You can look forward to hearing and seeing favorites like "Silent Night," "Deck the Halls," and "Carol of the Bells," and some (possibly) new songs like "Lute Carol" and "S'vivon." Each day will bring a new song sung by members of the Official Chorus of the United States Air Force, and each song will bring more holiday cheer to your heart and home!

If you are on Facebook but haven't "liked" the Band (and all its constituent units) then please do so post-haste so that you may enjoy these upcoming videos, plus all the other engaging content that goes up on a regular basis. Our Facebook page is also the best place to keep up with schedule changes and concert announcements, so really it's a good call to hit the "like" button no matter what. Also, we've already posted a teaser video there, to give you an idea of what's coming. It's a song called "Ocho Kandelikas," a traditional Hanukkah song from the Sephardic tradition, and it's fantastic! Go check it out right here! https://www.facebook.com/USAFBand/

If you're not a fan of Facebook, or you're one of those people who likes to binge-watch everything, you can find all of the videos in one place on YouTube Or, just search for  "TheUSAFBand."

However you choose to watch, we hope you enjoy these magnificent musicians and their extraordinary performances, and have a most wonderful time of the year! Happy Holidays from your United States Air Force Band!
