The United States Air Force Band is turning 75, and we'd like to invite you to join us in celebrating this important milestone! We're proud to announce our 75th Anniversary Reunion, held right here in Washington, D.C. June 8-11, 2016.

The U.S. Air Force Band's official military life began on September 24, 1941 with the formation of the Bolling Army Air Forces Band, under the sponsorship of Lt. L.P. Holcomb, commanding officer of the Air Base Group at Bolling Field. From an original group of only four members, the Band has grown to 177 active-duty Airmen - all highly trained professionals.

Over the years, The U.S. Air Force Band has performed live for over 100 million people, and has been broadcast via television, radio and Internet to audiences around the globe. It has embarked on 25 international concert tours, with performances in more than 50 countries and 42 world capitals.

The Airmen musicians in the Band strive to honor those who have served, inspire American citizens to heightened patriotism and service, and positively impact the global community on behalf of the U.S. Air Force and the United States of America.

The grand finale of the Band's celebration will be two very special concerts, featuring the Airmen of Note and the Concert Band.

The first concert will be presented by the Airmen of Note on June 10 at the beautiful Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Virginia. Come and enjoy an eclectic mix of big band swing, new compositions and daring arrangements from one of the world's premier jazz ensembles. Plus, enjoy spectacular views of the National Mall and downtown D.C., unrivaled in the metro area.

The Concert Band is featured on June 11, playing at George Mason University at 8 p.m. You'll hear patriotic favorites, orchestral favorites and virtuosic soloists from some of the finest musicians in the world. In addition, both concerts will feature alumni from the respective bands joining the current ensembles onstage for a number of songs, uniting the proud legacy of the organization with its bright future.

The U.S. Air Force Band's 75th Anniversary Reunion promises to be a tremendous musical experience!
