The USCENTAF Expeditionary Band's "Hot Brass" entertained troops in Southwest Asia and in Manas, Kyrgyzstan.  Hot Brass also performed at two community outreach programs at the Manas International Airport and Kyrgyz Air Navigation.

While it was the holiday season, the repertoire of Hot Brass varied from holiday music to cartoon and movie themes to popular music.   The group performed in many locations including the dining facility on base, the recreation tent "Pete's Place," Kyrgyz Air Navigation and at the Manas International Airport concourse while in Kyrgyzstan.

While at locations in SW Asia, Hot Brass performed at many offices and work centers bringing holiday cheer and entertainment to deployed troops away from friends and familiy during the holidays.  They also performed several "shows" for large, receptive crowds.

Audiences were encouraged to sing along, dance the limbo (using a trombone as a limbo stick,) or play along on the "jingle bells."  Because of its size, only six members, Hot Brass has performed at many smaller locations on a more personal level than many other performing groups.  Audience members were literally only a few feet away from the performers, which added to the festive atmosphere.
