The USAF Academy band kicks off tour in Indianapolis Published March 10, 2009 By SMSgt Larry Hill The USAF Academy Band Indianapols, IN -- The USAF Academy Band performed last night in Indianapolis, IN. The concert, at Pike Performing Arts Center, featured the Concert Band and Wild Blue Country performing traditional and patriotic favorites in special musical settings. Students from Pike High School joined the band in a performance of Karl King's "Emblem of Freedom" march. Performing with the band were Caitlin Barringer, Carol Mass, Maya Mariner, Nate Whitlock, Jonathan Sneegas and Devon Moore. They are all students of Pike High School band director John Marshall. Dr. Dan Bolin, Chairman of the Music Department at Butler University, conducted the march. The Band will continue its tour with a concert in Anderson, IN tonight (11 March) and a performance Thursday night in Bedford, IN.
