Attendees included high-ranking officials from numerous NATO Parter Countries, including Danish Ambassador to the United States Peter Taksøe-Jensen and Vice Admiral Charles Anthony Johnstone-Burt of The United Kingdom. "The band was able to extend a hand of fellowship on behalf of our nation and her service members to strengthen our ties with the Danish people," said Second Lieutenant Justin Lewis, Heritage of America Band flight commander. "Part of our primary mission is to train and be ready for working in the overseas and deployed environments, where building International partnerships is so important. It is great when we get the opportunity to be a part of that crucial task right here in our local area," said Mister Raymond Landon, USAF Heritage of America Band musical resources specialist. NATO Supreme Allied Command Transformation recognizes each member country on an individual day of celebration. "A member of the Danish Air Force who was officiating in the ceremony told us how much it meant to him as a Danish airman to see the U.S. Air Force present to assist and support the event," said Lewis.
