The United States Air Force Band of the Pacific-Asia's jazz combo, "Final Approach" traveled to Bangladesh as Air Force Ambassadors, fostering cultural ties between the two countries and introducing American-style Jazz to more than 500 Tejgaon College students. The three-person combo used classic, contemporary and Brazilian jazz, as well as Stevie Wonder and Beatles songs to connect with the audience.

This was the first time these students had heard live American music, and it was a tremendous opportunity to help shape future leaders' global view through sharing one of America's distinctly unique art forms. One student had the courage to sing an a cappella version of a traditional Bangladeshi song during the performance, which captured the sharing atmosphere of the cultural exchange. Master Sgt Rosenak, the band's Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge said, "It was such an eye-opening experience to visit Bangladesh and help facilitate the nation building between our two countries".

The Band was thanked by the United States Ambassador for helping the community outreach effort and also lauded for their spirited additional performance for 900 dignitaries and guests for the US Embassy Dhaka's "National Day" celebration, which affirmed the ideals of freedom and independence in the region.
