The Concert Band and Singing Sergeants are on the road again. This year, our Fall Tour itinerary includes concerts in six states--Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada and Arizona. As our buses move us from one venue to the next, we have been treated to beautiful sunrises and many gorgeous vistas. While the views are awesome, it is the people we meet along the way that are truly inspiring.

We performed recently in Mountain Home, Idaho, which is the home of the Air Force's 366th Fighter Wing. After the concert, band members from the local high school flooded the stage to talk to us and ask for autographs. I spoke with one wide-eyed student who seemed thoroughly awestruck and at a loss for words after the concert. He really could not believe what he had just experienced. Interactions like these make it all worthwhile.

Our mission on the road is to spread the word about the amazing things that our Airmen are doing at home and abroad, and to remind folks that the Air Force is engaged every single day in operations all over the world, fighting the Global War on Terror. We strive to represent Air Force precision and excellence on stage each night. In the words of an Air Force commander, "If you think these musicians are good, just imagine how great our pilots are!"

We're just half-way through the trip--we've still got upcoming concerts in Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. Check our calendar for details.  If you are in the area, we hope to see you there!
