New Downloads from Max Impact and Silver Wings!

Bolling AFB, Washington, DC --  Connected, the latest CD recording from Max Impact and Silver Wings, is now available for download from the USAF Band Website. This exciting new recording features original songs and arrangements from both ensembles.

Max Impact just returned from a three-month deployment to Southwest Asia. They performed at many different locations, including Manas Air Base and Bishkek Music College in Kyrgyzstan, as well as at Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan. The goal of Max Impact is to stay on the leading edge of the ever-changing pop music scene while projecting the highest standards of Air Force professionalism. They demonstrate the wide variety of contemporary music in six tracks on Connected.

Silver Wings has also been deployed to distant places as well. In the fall of 2007, they performed for nearly 10,000 American and coalition forces in Southwest Asia. They also helped create goodwill relations in local communities in Djibouti, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Iraq. They are also regularly featured around our nation's capital, including the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol and the White House. The four downloads from Silver Wings on Connected feature original songs by Master Sgt. Matthew Ascione.

Currently, there are selections from 42 CD recordings available for download from the USAF Band website. These recordings complement the live performance mission of the USAF Band, and are approved by the Department of the Air Force for use in public service broadcasting, recruiting, educational activities, troop morale and retention.
