July's Cadenza featured The Good Timers, who were posing for a promotional shot prior to their 1971 PACAF Tour. While we did not receive any information from our Cadenza readers, we anticipate receiving behind the scenes information from retired Senior Master Sergeant Dave Hill. He accompanied the group for their PACAF Tour that took them to the Philippines, Japan, Korea, Hawaii and many places in between. Please check back to "Recollections Revealed" as more information on this trip will be available soon.

Deployments for The United States Air Force Band continue today. Currently, our Deputy Commander, Major Scott Guidry, is deployed with the U.S. Air Forces Central (AFCENT) Band. He is overseeing a unit that performs for U.S. and Coalition Forces throughout the Bagram and Kandahar regions of Afghanistan. In addition, Celtic Aire, comprised of four Singing Sergeants, deployed for 60 days to Central and Southwest Asia at the beginning of the year. The tradition of trying to bring "a little bit of home" to the deployed troops continues on today, just as the Good Timers did almost 40 years ago.
