The Chamber Players Series offers audiences in the National Capital Region the opportunity to see performances by vocalists and instrumentalists from the various units of The U.S. Air Force Band. There will be three programs in March, featuring members of the Singing Sergeants, Ceremonial Brass and the Concert Band. All non-ticketed performances in the series are free and open to the public.

Please join us Friday, March 11 at 8 p.m. at the historic George Washington Masonic Memorial for a unique performance opportunity. That evening's show will feature performers from The United States Air Force Band's Singing Sergeants. This special concert will be spearheaded by the Singing Sergeants' own Tech. Sgt. Julia Brundage, and will include a diverse array of vocal music, spanning from classical operatic works to jazz standards, folk music and much more! The George Washington Masonic Memorial is located at 101 Callahan Drive, Alexandria, Va.

On March 17, Tech. Sgt. Blake Arrington will lead an evening of music for clarinet and piano at Harmony Hall in Fort Washington, Md. The performance will take place at 8 p.m. Sergeant Arrington's musical selections will include Carl Maria von Weber's virtuosic "Grand Duo Concertante" and Charles-Marie Widor's "Introduction and Rondo." He will also perform works for unaccompanied clarinet by Joan Tower and Igor Stravinsky. Harmony Hall is located in southern Maryland at 10701 Livingston Road, Fort Washington, Md.

The series returns to the George Washington Masonic Memorial at 8 p.m. on March 25 for an evening of brass quintet music. This program will feature members of the Ceremonial Brass, including Master Sgt. Tara Islas and Tech. Sgts. Roy Wimbush, Josh Cullum, Mike Brest and Matthew Misner. The performance will include an original composition by The United States Air Force Band's Tech. Sgt. Brett Miller, as well as sixteenth century English composer Thomas Tallis's "Suite of Five Anthems" - arranged for brass quintet by Sergeant Misner.

We hope that you can make it to one of our exciting Chamber Players performances in the month of March. For more information about these programs, or to find out more about other USAF Band events, please visit our website.
