For much of the month of March, the Airmen of Note toured through the states of Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. Their performances garnered tremendous enthusiasm, with stirring tributes to Armed Forces veterans. This particular tour also had some very special moments.

On Friday, March 25, the Note performed to a "standing room only" crowd in Oxford, Miss. What made this performance particularly special is that it was broadcast to over 100,000 listeners across the state.

Chief Master Sgt. Dudley Hinote, the non-commissioned Officer-in-Charge of the ensemble, was very enthusiastic about the future possibilities, saying, "This is something that I am very excited about--pursuing multiple broadcasts on future tours. This is truly a force multiplier!"

The broadcast included a two-hour concert by the Note, as well as an interview at the intermission with the group's music director, Senior Master Sgt. Joe Jackson. This was truly a momentous occasion for the Airmen of Note!

In Knoxville, the Note had the opportunity to perform with a trumpet legend--Doc Severinsen! Doc has made many appearances with The USAF Band for many years over his career, and each occurrence has been amazing. It was wonderful for the Note to reconnect with the legendary band leader and soloist!
