The Ceremonial Brass Play for Mets/Yankees Game

The United States Air Force Ceremonial Brass played the National Anthem for the New York Mets vs. New York Yankees baseball game at Citi Field in Flushing, N.Y., July 2. The game was broadcasted on the FOX MLB Game of the Week.

In addition to the National Anthem, the Ceremonial Brass also played a selection of patriotic marches and the Armed Services Medley as part of a pre-game show. Air Force Band trombonist, Tech. Sgt. David Rosengaft said, "It was a great honor and opportunity to represent our country by playing at Citi Field." The Yankees ended up winning the game which thrilled Bronx native and drum major of the Ceremonial Brass, Chief Master Sgt. Ed Teleky. He said "it was great to be back in New York to celebrate Independence Day and root for my hometown team."

The Ceremonial Brass ended their weekend in New York City by playing on the Today Show on July 4. The Brass was able to make it back to Washington, D.C. that evening to participate in performances at the U.S. Capitol and the Air Force Memorial.
