The final month of the 2011 Summer Concert Series has something for everyone! You can still catch one of the Band's performing units at the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday evenings, local high schools on Wednesday evenings and the Air Force Memorial on Friday evenings. Concerts at all locations begin at 8:00 p.m., and are free and open to the public.

The Concert Band and Singing Sergeants start off August with the concert theme "Tunes of Toons", featuring excerpts from your favorite TV shows. The band and singers will also feature "Disney & Pixar Favorites!" and "Around the World in Eighty Minutes" as August offerings.

Max Impact will perform a community concert at the Hagerstown Community College Ampitheatre in Hagerstown, Md., on Monday, August 22, at 6:30 p.m. If you can't make it to Hagerstown to see their show entitled "We Will Rock You", there will be three more opportunities to catch them in concert. They will be featured again on Tuesday, August 23 at the U.S. Capitol, Wednesday August 24, at Woodson High School in Fairfax, Va., and August 26 at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Va. All of these concerts will take place at 8:00 p.m.

The Summer Series will end with a week of concerts by the Air Force Symphony Orchestra. "A Night at the Symphony" will feature orchestral repertoire of cherished and favorite pieces.

All concerts are free and open to the public, with no tickets required. You can find the complete calendar here. See you in August!
