The Chamber Players Series offers audiences in the National Capital Region the opportunity to see performances by vocalists and instrumentalists from the various units of The U.S. Air Force Band. There will be three programs in October and November, featuring members of the Air Force Strings, Airmen of Note and Concert Band. All performances in the series are free and open to the public. Additionally, these events are non-ticketed.

Please join us Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. at Burke United Methodist Church, 6200 Burke Centre Parkway in Burke, Va. The program will highlight music for strings and piano and will feature the members of the Air Force Strings--Master Sgts. Vivian Podgainy and Cleveland Chandler and Tech. Sgt. Matthew Maffet--and the pianist from the Airmen of Note, Master Sgt. Steve Erickson.

On Friday, Nov. 18, Band members will return to Burke United Methodist Church for an evening of music for strings and clarinet. This recital will be performed by members of the Air Force Strings--Master Sgts. Mari Washington and Bryce Bunner and Tech. Sgts. Christine Lightner and Luke Wedge--and Concert Band clarinetist Tech. Sgt. Ben Bowers. The performance begins at 8 p.m.

The Airmen of Note's saxophone section will be featured on Monday, Nov. 28 at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage at 6 p.m. The five members of the sax section are Tech. Sgt. Tyler Kuebler (lead alto), Master Sgt. Andy Axelrad (second alto), Tech. Sgt. Tedd Baker (first tenor), Tech. Sgt. Grant Langford (second tenor) and Master Sgt. Doug Morgan (baritone). The program will feature selections by current and past members of The USAF Band as well as exciting arrangements from titans of the jazz world.

Once again, all performances in the series are free and non-ticketed. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. We hope you can make it to one or all of these unique Chamber Players Series performances.
