The U.S. Air Force Band will perform at a number of events during Air Force Week festivities in New York, N.Y. from August 18 - 21, 2012.

During the week, two ensembles from the band, Max Impact and the Ceremonial Brass will join Airmen from a broad range of career fields to meet and entertain members of the public, and to highlight Air Force excellence in action.

Kicking off the week's events will be Air Force Day at the Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees game at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx (4:05 p.m., tickets are required). The Ceremonial Brass will take the field during pregame to treat the crowd to a highly inspiring selection of patriotic music.

Max Impact will be performing a number of times at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Pier 86 near the intersection of West 46th St and 12th Ave in New York. Showtimes are Sunday, August 19 at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Monday, August 20 at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Featured along with Max Impact at the Intrepid Museum will be demonstrations and meet & greet opportunities with a number of Air Force professionals from a variety of fields, including military working dog demonstrations, United States Air Force Academy Falcon demonstrations, Air Force Thunderbirds crews, medical professionals, cyber and space professionals, pilots and missile operators, explosive ordinance disposal teams and security forces teams.

On Sunday, August 19 at the Intrepid Museum, the Ceremonial Brass will perform for the official Air Force Week opening ceremonies from 12:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Max impact will also perform their exciting brand of rock and pop music at the South Street Seaport (located where Fulton Street meets the East River in Manhattan) on Tuesday, August 21 at 3 p.m. The performance will culminate with a thrilling performance by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team.

And last but not least, the Ceremonial Brass will again combine American music with America's past time by performing during pre-game at the Colorado Rockies vs. New York Mets game at Citi Fied in Flushing, New York on August 20.
