The United States Air Force Band has started a new initiative offering private concerts to visiting Honor Flights at our building on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. They transport war veterans to Washington, D.C. from all over the country. Top priority is given to senior veterans, mostly WWII survivors, along with other veterans who are terminally ill.

Each Honor Flight concert also will be broadcast live on the Internet for everyone to enjoy. Here are the details:

Sat., April 20 - approx. 2:45 to 3:30 p.m.
Airmen of Note performance for Honor Flight DFW (Texas)

Wed., May 1 - approx. 3:45 to 4:15 p.m.
Concert Band and solo vocalist performance for Upper Peninsula Honor Flight Escanaba (Mich.)

Sat., May 18 - approx. 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.
