For the third consecutive year, High Altitude, the Band of the Northeast’s rock band, made the trek to Hurlburt Field, Florida to perform at the Air Force Special Operations Command Ball.

The event celebrated the Air Force’s 70th Anniversary and the achievements of the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).

SSgts. Amy Chicavich and Megan May kicked off the evening by singing the national anthem.

The group provided jazz combo music for the several hundred in attendance during dinner.

Lt. Gen. Marshall “Brad” Webb, AFSOC Commander, was the keynote speaker for the evening and proudly spoke of the unique mission the command is tasked with carrying out and the airmen that get the job done. He also unveiled the premier of a video highlighting the Command’s history and achievements.

Following the ceremonies, High Altitude took the stage to rock the night away. Playing the greatest hits from Motown, classic rock and today’s top charts, the 10-member unit offered something for everyone.

Special guests for the evening included Mrs. Doris Day, widow of Medal of Honor recipient, Col. Bud Day. The band was honored to meet with Mrs. Day at the conclusion of the ball.
