New Heritage to Horizons concerts showcase excellence

Last year, acting Secretary of the Air Force, Lisa S. Disbrow, asked public affairs leaders to research the possibility of creating a recurring, public, ceremonial event that would honor those who support the United States Air Force. The team envisioned a unique set of themed concerts at the U.S. Air Force Memorial, occurring monthly from May through August. They titled the series "Heritage to Horizons."

The Heritage to Horizons concerts will honor the rich history of the U.S. Air Force with exciting flyovers, impeccable demonstrations by the Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team and world-class music featuring musicians from the Airmen of Note, Max Impact, Strolling Strings and more. From Glenn Miller's Army Air Forces dance band to more modern radio hits, songs spanning seven decades will conclude with a patriotic finale ensuring there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

By involving aircraft in every event, these themed concerts will be like no other in the National Capital Region this summer. The special performances are designed to help build brand awareness, connect America with Airmen, strengthen esprit de corps and build partnerships. They are sure to become part of the culture and tourism of the D.C. metropolitan area.

Come celebrate the U.S. Air Force's 70th birthday with this unique ceremonial production under the majestic spires of the United States Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Virginia.  The U.S. Air Force is "Always There" and you should be too.
