The United States Air Force Band is proud to release its latest compact disc - America -- a wide-ranging collection of inspiring, patriotic music that celebrates our nation's heritage and diversity. Drawn from not only recent, nationally televised broadcasts for Independence Day and Veterans Day but also our patriotic archives, these selections of music express our national story and reaffirm the sense of duty and honor shared by all of those who have served our great nation.

We are pleased to feature GRAMMY award-winning artist Gloria Estefan on the title track, telling a personal story of her love for our country. As we celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the United States Air Force, we are excited to present the Burst of Blue Fanfare - an original composition by Senior Master Sgt. (Ret.) Robert Thurston - along with several uplifting patriotic favorites that salute all of the brave men and women in our Armed Forces.

This special recording represents the culmination of many years of nationally televised presentations. Recorded at Maryland Public Television Studios, as well as at Bias Studios in Alexandria, VA, the tracks on this recording were used in award-winning broadcasts including the 2015 and 2016 Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Shows. Highlights from this recording include Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" as well as many other patriotic favorites. The arrangements reflect the diversity of our great nation, and our Air Force with styles ranging from folk/traditional to Latin to symphonic orchestrations.  This one-of-a-kind recording gives the listener a chance to experience three of the United States Air Force Band's performing units - the Concert Band, Singing Sergeants, and Air Force Strings.
