Chamber Players Series Returns This Fall

Mark your calendars for the fall schedule of The United States Air Force Band's popular Chamber Players Series. These free recitals provide Washington, D.C. area audiences a wonderful opportunity to enjoy performances of the finest music ranging from classical chamber music and jazz to Celtic and more eclectic selections.

The Chamber Players Series features unique programs, developed by members of the Band to highlight their virtuosity and creativity. Drawing from vocalists and instrumentalists from every performing ensemble of the organization, the performances include both soloists and small ensembles. There will be six programs in September and October, featuring members of the Ceremonial Brass, Airmen of Note, Concert Band and Air Force Strings. All performances in the series are free and open to the public with no tickets required.

The Lyceum, Alexandria's History Museum, will host our chamber concerts this fall. Located at 201 S. Washington St. in Alexandria, Va., the museum offers exhibitions, public programs, a museum store, and a venue for concerts and other programs. Concerts are held on Thursdays at 7:30, beginning on September 21 and ending October 26.

Here is this falls exciting lineup:

September 21: An Evening of Music for Solo Euphonium featuring Master Sgt. Josh Cullum of the Ceremonial Brass.

September 28: An Evening of Music for Woodwind Ensemble featuring members of the Concert Band and Air Force Strings.

October 5: An Evening of Music for Chamber Winds featuring members of the Concert Band conducted by Colonel Larry H. Lang.

October 12: An Evening of Music for Solo Euphonium featuring Technical Sgt. Erik Lundquist of the Ceremonial Brass.

October 19: An Evening of Music for Jazz Combo featuring members of the Airmen of Note.

October 26: An Evening of Music for Jazz Combo featuring members of the Airmen of Note.
