Singing Sergeants on Tour!

The Singing Sergeants are eager to embark on our first ever solo tour in February. We will perform in Lady Lake, The Villages, Orlando, DeLand and Cape Coral, Fla.

Performing in a variety of venues will allow us the opportunity to perform in a variety of styles. We will perform two choral concerts and several 1940s and 1950s era pop shows.

As the premier chorus of the United States Air Force, we are delighted to feature works by Eric Whitacre, Rene Clausen, Moses Hogan, Alice Parker and more. Technical Sgt. Taylor Armstrong, enlisted conductor of the Singing Sergeants, eloquently stated, "I have enjoyed the detailed work of bringing this choral music to life. We regularly challenge ourselves to breathe new life into our standard repertoire and to discover and prepare new arrangements. The choral art form is powerful; certainly we deliver text and music together, but when many voices become one, with dynamic and unified intent, the results are far greater than the sum of its parts."

The pop shows include hits from the 1940s and 1950s, such as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Accentuate the Positive," "Blue Moon," and "Johnny B Good." They will feature soloists and small groups, and will be accompanied by a combo of piano, drums, guitar and bass. You can bet these shows will be rockin'!
