The United States Air Force Band and Maryland Public Television (MPT) continue their annual collaboration in saluting U.S. military veterans with a one-hour broadcast of musical performances honoring the men and women who have served in all branches of the U.S. armed forces.  Titled America's Veterans: A Musical Tribute 2016, the program airs on MPT-HD Thursday, November 10 at 9 p.m., on the eve of the national observance of Veterans Day.  The special will repeat on MPT2 Friday, November 11 at 8 p.m.

This year's musical celebration features performances by the Air Force Band and rising country music star Drake White.

White has been heralded by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the "10 New Country Artists You Need to Know."  In   August White released his debut album "Spark" with Dot Records. It rose to No. 4 on the Top Country Albums chart and features the hit single Livin' the Dream.  In addition to Livin' the Dream, White is scheduled to perform the songs Back to Free, Heartbeat, and Live Some during the MPT broadcast.

America's Veterans: A Musical Tribute first aired in 2008.  A perennial favorite among MPT audiences, the program has both elevated the holiday experience for viewers and generated a greater level of appreciation for American veterans while promoting a better understanding of the role of our men and women in uniform.
