    The U.S. Air Forces in Europe Ambassadors Jazz Band traveled to six cities in central and western Ukraine October 6 - 20, 2019, to conduct the “Music of Freedom” tour, a community outreach and concert program aimed at celebrating the shared spirit of freedom and enduring partnership between U.S. and Ukrainian armed forces.

    The children of active duty service members make many sacrifices while their parents serve our nation. As with any military unit, a large number of The U.S. Air Force Band’s personnel are parents themselves who work hard to obtain balance between work and family life. For one band member’s family, the lines between work life and family life blurred recently as a military father and his son sat on the same stage and made beautiful music together.
  • US Air Force Heritage Winds performs for LowCountry

    The U.S. Air Force Heritage Winds woodwind quintet performed for veterans and local community members at Patriot’s Point, in Mount Pleasant, S.C., June 6, 2019, as a part of a three day tour. Heritage Winds is a component of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band. The band is dedicated to using the power of music to honor veterans, inspire patriotism, communicate the Air Force story and recruit those who are interested in serving our nation. They performed seven concerts throughout North and South Carolina.

    The United States Air Force Band of the West brought the joy of live music to the residents of Puerto Rico during a recent weeklong tour of the United States territory still recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria nearly two years ago. In living up to its mission to honor, inspire and connect, the band’s music told the Air Force story of diversity and opportunity, built relationships with Puerto Rican communities and honored veterans from the island.

The air and sea show honored service members, both military and local first responders, who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of our nation.
