A1C Gardner Nathan Gardner is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. A1C Gardner holds degrees from Bob Jones University and Indiana University. Currently, he is also working to complete his DMA at the University of North Texas. His primary teachers include Dr. Timothy Owner, Dr. Natalie Mannix, Tony Baker, Peter Ellefson, and Dr. Paul Overly. Prior to Enlistment, A1C Gardner performed with many professional ensembles including the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, Mckinney Philharmonic Orchestra, Las Colinas Symphony, Lima Symphony Orchestra, Salisbury Symphony, and others. As a chamber musician, he actively performs with Consonance Trombone Quartet and Appalachia Duo.
In July of 2026 A1C Gardner joined the Air Force and was assigned to the Band of the West. In his spare time, Gardner likes to read, fish, smoke BBQ, and watch baseball.
