Technical Sgt. Amanda Galick is a flutist with the Concert Band. Originally from Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, she joined the United States Air Force Band in 2025.
Before joining the Air Force, Sgt. Galick performed as second flutist and piccoloist of the Sarasota Opera Orchestra. During the summer months, she also served as second flutist of the Artosphere Festival Orchestra. Sgt. Galick has performed as guest principal flutist with the Fort Worth Symphony and has appeared with the orchestras of the Houston Grand and Florida Grand Operas, Houston Symphony Orchestra, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, San Antonio Symphony, Palm Beach Symphony, The Louisiana Philharmonic, and The New World Symphony. As a chamber musician, Sgt. Galick performed frequently with Musiqa Houston and can be heard on their most recent album.
A passionate teacher, Sgt. Galick has held numerous faculty positions, including with Sinfónica Azteca, a collegiate summer music festival in Puebla, Mexico, Strake Jesuit Preparatory School, and the Sitka Fine Arts Camp. In 2016, she completed a certificate with the Orchestra of the Americas, where she went on several teaching missions in Mexico and St. Croix, of the US Virgin Islands.
Sgt. Galick holds a Master of Music degree from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice
University and a Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Michigan School of Music
Theatre and Dance.
