The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Technical Sergeant Kenneth Chauby

Technical Sgt. Kenneth Chauby is a trumpeter with the Ceremonial Brass. Originally from Bloomfield, NY, his career with the United States Air Force Band began in June 2024.

Prior to joining the Air Force, Sgt. Chauby was a Fellow at the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, FL. Sgt. Chauby has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra, North Carolina Symphony, Charlotte Symphony, the Florida Orchestra, as well as the London Symphony Orchestra as a Keston MAX fellow.

As an active soloist, Sgt. Chauby has appeared with numerous orchestras and festivals throughout the country, to include the New World Symphony, Aspen Conducting Academy Orchestra and the Classical Music Institute Orchestra. Sgt. Chauby holds a Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music and a Bachelor’s of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music. His teachers include Mark Gould, Ethan Bensdorf, Allan Dean, and Kevin Cobb.
